Description

AMMONIUM SULPHATE ACTION:

Ammonium sulphate is a physiologically acidic fertiliser that, thanks to its unique combination of components, plays a key role in building the yield potential of plants. The nitrogen contained in ammonium form is strongly bound by the soil sorption complex, making it resistant to leaching and available to plants over a longer period. At the same time, the high content of sulphur in sulphate form (directly absorbable) supports the efficient use of nitrogen – following the principle that sulphur deficiency blocks the uptake of this element. The synergy of these two components stimulates the synthesis of proteins and enzymes, which directly translates into increased protein content in cereal grain and oil content in oilseed rape seeds. This fertiliser also works excellently on alkaline and neutral soils, slightly acidifying the root environment and facilitating the uptake of micronutrients.

Advantages of Using Ammonium Sulphate:

- Stable source of nitrogen: The ammonium form of nitrogen is leached more slowly from the soil, providing plants with stable nutrition over a long period.

- Immediate availability of sulphur: Sulphate sulphur is rapidly absorbed by the root system, preventing deficiencies of this element.

- Improved yield quality: Directly increases protein content in wheat and oil content in oilseed rape.

- Better nitrogen utilisation: Adequate sulphur supply unlocks the yield potential of nitrogen, increasing fertilisation efficiency.

- Versatility: Suitable for both pre-sowing application (mixed with soil) and top dressing across a wide range of arable and vegetable crops.

COMPOSITION AND PROPERTIES:

Total nitrogen (N): 21% (ammonium form – NH4).

Sulphur (S): 24.8% (sulphate form – SO3, water-soluble).

APPLICATION RANGE AND DOSES:

General recommendations:

Fertiliser dosing should always be adjusted to the individual needs of the crop, expected yield, and current soil sulphur and nitrogen levels. Below are approximate doses for specific crop groups.

Dosing (kg/ha):

Winter oilseed rape

- Autumn: 100 – 150 kg/ha.

- Spring: 200 – 250 kg/ha (at the start of vegetation).

Winter cereals

Recommended dose: 80 – 120 kg/ha.

Spring cereals

Recommended dose: 80 – 100 kg/ha.

Maize

Recommended dose: 120 – 150 kg/ha.

Sugar beet

Recommended dose: 120 – 150 kg/ha.

Cruciferous vegetables (cabbage family)

Recommended dose: 200 – 250 kg/ha (due to high sulphur demand).

Potato

Recommended dose: 80 – 100 kg/ha (applies to varieties harvested at full physiological maturity).

Grassland (meadows and pastures on mineral soils)

Recommended dose: 80 – 120 kg/ha.
