Belvedere Extra 400 SC Adama - herbicide

Belvedere Extra 400 SC is a selective systemic herbicide, applied foliarly, in the form of a concentrated suspension for dilution with water (SC).

The product is intended for use with self-propelled or tractor-mounted field sprayers.

Belvedere Extra 400 SC Adama - mode of action:

The product contains two active substances with different modes of action.

Fenmedifam belongs to the group of photosynthesis inhibitors at the photosystem II level. The first symptoms of its action appear a few days after application as yellowing visible in the interveinal spaces, as well as on the edges and tips of the oldest leaves. This is followed by strong growth inhibition and drying of the plant.

Etofumesat is a substance that blocks the biosynthesis of long-chain fatty acids used for the production of waxes or other compounds included in waxes in the youngest tissues already during seed germination. Seedlings or young shoots deprived of the protective action of long-chain fatty acids are not resistant to external conditions and consequently quickly wilt, slow down or do not initiate biochemical processes and rapidly die.

The product is absorbed through the leaves and roots of weeds. Through the soil action of etofumesat, the product limits secondary weed infestation. The product is most effective on weeds in early growth stages. It also destroys weeds in later growth stages.

Belvedere Extra Adama herbicide - active substance content:

• Fenmedifam - a compound from the carbamic acid derivatives group - 200 g/l (18.0%),
• Etofumesat - a compound from the benzofuran derivatives group - 200 g/l (18.0%).

According to HRAC classification, the active substance fenmedifam belongs to group C1, and the active substance etofumesat to group N.

Belvedere Extra Adama - controlled weeds:

Sensitive weeds:

• field pansy,
• charlock,
• common chickweed,
• white goosefoot,
• cleavers,
• field bindweed,
• field pennycress.

Moderately sensitive weeds:

• rough amaranth.

Resistant weeds:

• volunteer oilseed rape,
• corn chamomile.

Belvedere Extra Adama herbicide - pre-harvest interval and re-entry period:

Pre-harvest interval - the period from the last application of the product to the day of crop harvest:

• Not applicable.

Re-entry period - the period from the application of the product to the day when people and animals may enter the treated area:

• Do not enter until the spray liquid on the plant surface is completely dry.

Belvedere Extra 400 SC herbicide - succeeding crops:

The product decomposes in the soil without posing a threat to succeeding crops. In case of earlier ploughing of the beet plantation (due to plant damage by frost, diseases or pests), only beets can be grown on this field after ploughing.

Belvedere Extra Adama herbicide - preparation of spray liquid:

Before preparing the spray liquid, accurately determine the required amount. Shake the contents of the package before use. Pour the measured amount of product into the sprayer tank partially filled with water, with the agitator on. Rinse the empty package three times with water and pour the rinsate into the sprayer tank with the spray liquid. Then fill the sprayer tank with water to the required volume. After adding the product to a sprayer tank without a hydraulic agitator, mechanically mix the liquid in the tank. Spray with the agitator on. Do not leave the spray liquid in the sprayer without agitation for a long time, e.g. overnight.

Belvedere Extra 400 SC Adama plant protection product - usage instructions:

• Plant protection products containing the active substance etofumesat should not be used on the same cultivated area more often than once every three years, with doses not exceeding a total of 1.0 kg active substance per hectare.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Store the plant protection product:
  – in original packaging,
  – in a way preventing contact with food, beverages or feed, environmental contamination and access by unauthorized persons,
  – at temperatures between 0°C and 30°C.
