Fertilisation calendar for strawberries and raspberries with Twój Ogród fertiliser:
Growing and care conditions for strawberries and raspberries:
Strawberries and raspberries are among the most commonly chosen fruit shrubs for cultivation. They are valued for their flavour and health properties. To enjoy their taste qualities, it is worth remembering proper fertilisation and care.
Raspberries and strawberries grow best in well-lit, quickly warming locations. The site should be sheltered and protected from wind. The most harmful factors are spring frosts and strong cold winds. Plants prefer light but adequately moist soils. The growing medium for raspberries and strawberries should have a slightly acidic pH from 5.5 to 6.5.
Raspberry and strawberry seedlings are planted in previously prepared holes, then pressed down with soil and watered. The soil under the plantings should be loosened and weeds removed. Before planting, it is worth checking whether the seedlings are free from disease and not dried out. The guarantee of seedling establishment is the use of "U-Korzonek Z" by "TWÓJ ogród". Strawberry seedlings should not be planted too deep as they have a shallow root system; covering them with 2-3 cm of soil is sufficient.
Watering - water affects fruit size and plant condition:
Raspberries and strawberries have special water requirements. Watering depends on current weather. Intensive watering should start from the beginning of vegetation until the start of ripening. Watering should be repeated at least every 3 days.
Soil fertilisation is fundamental. The delicate root system of strawberries and raspberries requires the use of chloride-free fertilisers. The "TWÓJ ogród" fertiliser series works well here. This fertiliser has perfectly selected nutrients. The addition of micro and macroelements significantly affects fruit size and flavour, additionally strengthening the plant's resistance to fungal diseases and adverse weather conditions.
Raspberries are pruned depending on the plant type and are pruned twice a year, in early spring and autumn after harvest. All dried and frost-damaged shoots that do not develop should be removed. Proper pruning of raspberries above ground prevents shoot dieback.
Strawberries yield best on plants up to 3 years old. After 3-4 years, strawberries should be removed and new ones planted in a different location to avoid fungal disease infection.
Granulated fertiliser for strawberries and raspberries Twój Ogród - usage tips:
- Fertilisers should be used in a balanced way, and fertilisation should be based on plant needs and growing medium fertility. Avoid fertiliser getting onto surfaces not intended for fertilisation.
- Store fertiliser in closed, original packaging, in dry rooms, away from food and feed, in places inaccessible to children.
- During storage and transport, protect from heat, direct sunlight, moisture and mechanical damage to packaging.
- Under the above storage conditions, the shelf life is unlimited.
