That is why it is important to take proper care of it, and fertilisers for lawn and products that help eliminate unwanted moss from the lawn are helpful in this. However, using just one product - the First Aid for Lawns in the Fight Against Moss fertiliser - is enough. It will care for the lawn and also prevent moss growth in the lawn.

What pH should the growing medium under the lawn have?
The pH of the growing medium under the lawn should be between 5.5 and 6.5. Higher pH creates ideal conditions for the growth of weeds, mosses and undesirable fungi which cause the lawn to become diseased, and their strong expansion can lead to complete destruction of the grass.
How often should the lawn be mown?
The frequency of mowing the lawn depends on many factors, including: the species of sown grasses, intensity of fertilisation, regular watering, season and weather. If we want our lawn to be a garden decoration, it should be mown at least once a week. Frequent mowing will make the lawn look perfect. To achieve a "green carpet" effect, it should be mown several times a week. The first mowing should be done when the grass reaches 6 to 8 cm, cutting it back by 1-1.5 cm. The next two to three mowings should be similar, then gradually lower until the planned height. Usually, this is 3-6 cm, but during hot weather, it is better to mow higher.
Lawn mowing depending on air temperature:
- when the temperature is up to 25°C, mow the lawn to 4 cm height,
- when the temperature is between 25-30°C, mow the lawn to 4-6 cm height,
- when the temperature exceeds 30°C, do not mow the lawn.
Lawn care - fertilisation:
To achieve a beautiful lawn, it must be constantly nourished, as grass quickly uses up nutrient reserves. The lawn should be fertilised 3 times a year. Fertilisation should be done after mowing the grass when the leaves are dry. The fertiliser should be spread evenly. It should be noted that where too much fertiliser falls, the lush grass may be "burnt", and where there is a deficiency, poorly nourished grass will yellow. Lawns should not be fertilised when wet, as granules stick to the leaves, reducing the effectiveness of the treatment. Drought and strong sunlight also negatively affect fertiliser application, which may "burn" the grass during this period.
How often should the lawn be watered?
The lawn should be watered frequently, every 2-3 days, preferably early in the morning before strong sun, using sprinklers. The soil should be moist to a depth of about 15 cm. Well-watered growing medium allows grass seeds to develop their root system, making the lawn resistant to adverse weather conditions.

The fertiliser is applied by spreading evenly over the entire area intended for fertilisation. Use a dose of: from 0.5 to 0.8 kg/10m2 – preventive dose; from 1.5 to 2 kg/10m2 – intervention dose. Use in a balanced manner. Fertilisation should be based on the plant's needs and the growing medium's fertility. Prevent fertiliser from reaching areas not intended for fertilisation. |
Fertilisation should be repeated 2-3 times at intervals of about 7-8 weeks from the start of vegetation until mid-August. If necessary, repeat the treatment after about 30 days. |
