Description
Compound, mineral soil fertiliser designed for post-planting feeding of blueberries in the first year after planting and in subsequent years of cultivation. An important advantage of Florovit for blueberries is its ability to acidify the soil, which clearly supports the growth and development of plants requiring a low pH growing medium. It is also characterised by the absence of nitrates. Blueberries are planted in a growing medium with a pH of 3.8 - 4.8. Plants grown in a medium with too high a pH show poor growth and premature yellowing and leaf drop. The fertiliser prevents leaf chlorosis during the plant's growing season. Additionally, it contains forms of nutrients that move poorly in the soil, protecting them from leaching into groundwater.
Application method:
Blueberries. Post-planting feeding begins in spring at the start of plant growth, usually in mid-April. The second and third fertilisations should be carried out every four weeks thereafter. It is recommended to finish feeding the plants by 15 June. After spreading the fertiliser around the plant, it should be gently mixed with the soil. Watering the plants is also recommended. Doses: first year after planting - three times 20 g/m2 total 60 g/year; subsequent years of cultivation - three times 30-35 g/m2 total approx. 100 g/year.
Rhododendrons. Similar to blueberries, apply pre-season at planting 25-50 g of fertiliser per plant (mixing it with 25-50 l of soil from the planting hole), and in subsequent years spread the fertiliser under the crown in early spring: in year 1 in March approx. 20 g and in April approx. 20 g; in year 2 in March approx. 25 g and in April approx. 25 g; in later years in March approx. 30 g and in April approx. 30 g.
Azaleas and heathers. Pre-season mix with the soil in which the plant is planted, about 10 g of fertiliser per 10 l of soil. In subsequent years, in early spring (April), spread about 10 g of fertiliser under the crown on the soil surface and water abundantly. For larger plants (3-4 years and older), repeat fertilisation after 2-3 months at the same dose. In container cultivation, do not exceed a dose of 1 g of fertiliser per litre of growing medium.
Ferns and conifers. These plants can be fertilised with Florovit for blueberries pre-season and post-planting if the soil is not acidic enough - soil pH above 6. Pre-season, spread once per plant and mix with soil about 10 g of fertiliser with 10-20 l of soil. In subsequent years, spread once under the crown in early spring about 10 g of fertiliser. For conifers, the post-planting fertiliser dose depends on the plant's age: increase to 20 g when the plant reaches 0.5 m in height; to 40 g when the plant reaches 1 m in height; to 60 g when the plant reaches 2 m in height. One tablespoon contains on average 10 g of fertiliser.
