Description
Focus universal concentrate for flying and crawling insects 50ml
Insecticidal product in concentrate form with contact and stomach action. Intended for the control of flying and crawling insects: flies, mosquitoes, midges, cockroaches, bedbugs, pharaoh ants, silverfish etc.
Also controls harmful insects mainly such as: grain weevil, grain moth, flour beetle etc.
Causes death of crawling insects after approximately 1.5–4 hours, and flying insects after approximately 20–40 minutes from application. The effect of the product lasts up to several weeks. It is also effective at elevated ambient temperatures.
Application: recommended spray liquid concentration: 1% (50 ml of product per 5 l of water)
Active substance: permethrin as in Aspermet 200 EC
Control of insects indoors:
- spray method – recommended concentration: 2% (50 ml of product in 2.5 l of water), at a dose of 1 litre of spray liquid per 20 m2 of surface
- fogging using aerosol generators at a dose of 50 ml of product in 0.5 l of odourless vaseline oil per 300 m3 of treated volume.
Control of mosquitoes outside buildings:
ULV treatment (“cold fog”): Prepare a 5% aqueous solution of Focus concentrate. Part of the water used to prepare the solution is recommended to be replaced with a carrier used in ULV treatments, which improves the effectiveness of the “cold fog”. 10 litres of spray liquid is sufficient to spray 1 ha.
“Hot fog” treatment: Prepare the spray liquid by diluting 0.5 litres of product and 0.5–1.5 litres of carrier with water to 5 litres. This prepared spray liquid is sufficient for fogging 1 ha of surface.
Control of ticks outside buildings:
- spray method: prepare a 1% solution of Focus concentrate in water (50 ml of product in 5 litres of water) and mix thoroughly. Use at a dose of 1 litre of spray liquid per 20 m2 of surface.
METHOD OF APPLICATION:
Enclosed spaces:
The treatment can be performed using most types of sprayers used for insect control in enclosed spaces.
The basic principle of proper treatment is thorough coverage of surfaces with liquid (until the beginning of minimal dripping) of the treated surfaces. No more than 1/3 of the room’s surface should be sprayed.
When controlling crawling insects (cockroaches, etc.) special attention should be paid to their nesting sites (corners of walls and floors, cracks, crevices, pipe and conduit passages, places behind skirting boards, wallpapers and carpets, bathtubs, kitchen cabinets, backs of furniture and pictures, hoods etc.).
When controlling flies, spray the surfaces where flies most frequently rest (sunlit parts of walls, near windows, lamps, support posts, partitions, waste storage areas - provided they are not used as animal feed, etc.).
Outdoor surfaces: (control of mosquitoes and ticks)
The treatment should be applied evenly over the entire surface intended for disinsection on a warm, windless afternoon when no rain is expected. Avoid treatment at extremely high temperatures, which may reduce the effectiveness of the active substance.
There are no contraindications to staying in the treated area immediately after the treatment, but not before the disinsection fog has settled.
PREPARATION OF SPRAY LIQUID:
Determine the required amount of product. Shake the bottle well. Measure the required amount of product and pour into the sprayer tank partially filled with water. Mix well. Rinse the empty packaging three times with water and pour the rinsate into the sprayer tank. Fill the tank with water to the required volume and mix again to obtain a uniform suspension. Perform the treatment immediately.
After work, wash the equipment thoroughly. Dilute any unused spray liquid with water and spray onto previously treated surfaces. Spray the water used for washing the equipment onto previously treated surfaces, using the same personal protective equipment.
Warning: the product is toxic to aquatic organisms. In case of spillage, cover the contaminated area with sand or other absorbent material and collect everything into a sealed container labelled with disposal instructions according to local regulations. Prevent the product from entering sewage systems, ditches, watercourses, etc.
Empty packaging should be returned to the seller where the product was purchased.
Expired, unused product residues should be handed over to a specialised company for disposal.
DURATION OF EFFECT:
The duration of the product’s effect depends on the quality of the treatment, type of treated surface, temperature, humidity, dustiness, etc.
On lime-whitened surfaces it is quickly deactivated.
It ceases to act after washing, wiping, rinsing etc. of the sprayed surface.
NOTES:
- Before disinsection, remove people and animals from the room and protected surface for the duration of the treatment.
- Do not spray on troughs, drinkers and other surfaces that animals may contact.
- Spray pigsties from a height of 1.5 m and cowsheds from a height of 2 m above the floor upwards.
- Protect foodstuffs, food and feed containers from contamination by the product.
- Before disinsection, remove them from the room or cover them thoroughly.
- Do not spray surfaces in contact with food.
- Avoid staying within the range of the sprayed spray liquid.
- Avoid drifting of the product by drafts.
- Do not spray beds and children’s toys.
- Do not spray parts of machines, installations, electric motors etc.
- The prepared spray liquid must be used as soon as possible. It must not be left until the next day.
- The facility may be used after the sprayed surfaces have completely dried and the area has been thoroughly ventilated.
- After work, wash the equipment thoroughly, wash yourself with water and soap, rinse your mouth and change clothes.
- Dispose of leftover spray liquid and water used for washing away from water reservoirs and intakes.
- Disinsection treatments must never be performed in the presence of sick people and children. Use of the product is not recommended in rooms occupied by people with allergies.
