Waikiki PVO1650 F1 is an early Cantaloupe-type melon variety characterised by an attractive appearance – the skin is covered with a distinct netting, without striping. The fruits reach a weight of 1–1.1 kg, and their flesh is intensely orange, exceptionally aromatic and very sweet, making them an ideal choice for lovers of pronounced flavour.
The variety matures in about 100 days and stands out for its very good post-harvest shelf life – fruits can be stored for about 14 days without loss of quality. Waikiki is resistant to powdery mildew and Fusarium, and has high resistance (HR) to WMV and moderate resistance (IR) to ZYMV and PRSV, making it reliable in cultivation.
