Lawn product (fertiliser, weedkiller, moss control) Substral Compete 3in1 - action:
- Removes moss,
- Controls weeds including roots,
- Comprehensively fertilises the lawn.
Within 5 days of applying Substral 3in1 Compete, moss begins to die - black patches of dead moss appear. Dead moss should be removed from the lawn (e.g. with a rake) to allow the grass to tiller and thicken those areas again.
Additionally, the selective herbicide contained in the fertiliser starts to control weeds. The weedkiller acts systemically - this is manifested by inhibition of weed growth and development, twisting of leaves and stems, yellowing, and then drying of the youngest leaves. Complete weed removal occurs after 3-5 weeks.
Besides controlling weeds and moss, the product contains fertiliser that ensures rapid grass growth and promotes root system development. The lawn becomes dense and vividly green. Thanks to increased root surface, lawn roots absorb nutrients and water better, resulting in improved resistance to high temperatures, drought and other adverse stress conditions.

Regular fertilisation, mowing and watering will further help reduce weeds and moss in the lawn:
Regular mowing:
- Ensures a dense turf,
- Mowing height: from 3 to 5 cm,
- The higher the mowing height, the less moss appears on the lawn,
- During dry periods and shade, mow the lawn rather at higher heights (do not cut too short).
Proper watering:
- Regular lawn irrigation and maintaining constant soil moisture will provide the grass with adequate hydration and drought protection,
- During drought and heat, water the lawn daily.
Fertilisation:
- Only by supplying the lawn with adequate nutrients will the turf remain strong, dense, healthy and green,
- Fertilising 2-3 times a year at roughly equal intervals is sufficient to strengthen the lawn for the entire season.
