Description
YaraLiva™ TROPICOTE™
Granulated calcium nitrate for top dressing with a biodegradable coating.
Content of nutrients:
total nitrogen – 15.5% N (including: 14.4% N-NO3 and 1.1% N-NH4); calcium – 26.3% CaO
What distinguishes YaraLiva™ top dressing calcium nitrates:
– excellent source of nitrogen, calcium and boron (NitraBor™) in rapidly available nitrate forms;
– biodegradable coating improving sowing properties and uniformity of nutrient availability to plants;
– impact on yield – fast-acting form of nitrogen is absorbed immediately after application;
– impact on yield quality – high content of immediately available calcium improves appearance, taste, firmness, post-harvest durability of flowers and storage properties of vegetables and fruits, reduces their susceptibility to fungal diseases and damage during transport;
– positive effect on soil structure and improvement of its air-water properties as well as stabilisation of pH.
Application recommendations:
YaraLiva™ TropiCote™ and YaraLiva™ NitraBor™ are used as top dressing in single doses not exceeding 100 – 300 kg/ha, depending on soil fertility and expected yield:
- in orchard crops: at the beginning of vegetation and during flowering and fruit growth;
- in field vegetable crops from 2-3 weeks after transplanting seedlings or emergence (2-3 times) every 2-3 weeks.
YaraLiva™ TropiCote™ and YaraLiva™ NitraBor™ in protected cultivation are used when systems enabling fertiliser application together with irrigation are not available, mainly as top dressing, by hand sowing in single doses not exceeding 2–3 kg/100 m2 during periods of plant demand for nitrogen and calcium. YaraLiva™ NitraBor™ is recommended for species requiring additional boron fertilisation and during periods of increased demand for this micronutrient (flowering period). In basic fertilisation, YaraLiva™ top dressing nitrates are applied just before sowing/planting, mainly in case of acidic pH and/or low calcium content in the growing medium, at a dose of 3–5 kg/100 m2.
