- The plant produces 2-3 shoots, each bearing 8-10 long, wide, and curved pods.
- The pods are semi-pendulous, which facilitates their harvesting. Additionally, the pods open easily, speeding up the seed extraction process.
- Each pod contains 4-5 large, pale green seeds with a light mark. The seeds are very tasty and darken very slowly after harvest, maintaining their attractive appearance.
The weight of 1000 fresh seeds is about 4000g (depending on weather conditions).
Cultivation:
- Broad Bean Bartek grows best in a sunny location.
- It prefers fairly heavy soil with good water retention. The growing medium must not be acidic; the plants tolerate a slightly alkaline reaction.
- It is recommended to sow seeds in rows spaced 40-60 cm apart, with 10-20 cm between seeds. Nest sowing every 15-30 cm is also possible.
- Regular watering, especially during dry periods, will ensure a plentiful yield.
