CaTs (calcium thiosulphate) is a liquid calcium fertiliser with sulphur from Tessenderlo, designed to eliminate calcium and sulphur deficiencies. Suitable for soil fertilisation, foliar fertilisation, irrigation and fertigation, as well as top dressing together with RSM.
This fertiliser has a nitrogen stabilising function. It also acts as a urease inhibitor.
Calcium and sulphur are present in this fertiliser in the form of calcium thiosulphate.
CaTs features many application possibilities - irrigation, fertigation, foliar fertilisation. It can even be used together with urea or RSM. This increases the efficiency of nitrogen fertilisation.
Moreover, it improves the immune system and health of plants. It also positively influences soil structure. It also increases water availability, reduces stress and lowers soil salinity.
Additionally, it increases the availability of potassium, iron, manganese and magnesium.
What is the composition of CaTs (calcium thiosulphate) fertiliser from Tessenderlo?
- calcium oxide (CaO)(9%),
- sulphur trioxide (SO3)(25%)
How can CaTs (calcium thiosulphate) product be applied?
CaTs fertiliser can be applied:
- together with urea or RSM - calcium and sulphur are present in the fertiliser in the form of calcium thiosulphate CaTs. Using this combination increases the efficiency of applied nitrogen fertilisation.

How to prepare working solution from CaTs Tessenderlo?
- When preparing the working solution, use rubber gloves and protect eyes. Pour fertiliser directly into the sprayer with the agitator on;
- Order of fertiliser dosing
- when used together with RSM: CaTS then RSM.
- foliar fertilisation: water - plant protection product – CaTS – other fertilisers. - The agitator must be on continuously when preparing the working solution and during spraying.
- Do not apply fertiliser at temperatures > 25°C. Do not acidify the working solution below pH 6.
How to store CaTs and what precautions to take?
- Store in closed, original packaging, in dry rooms, away from food and feed, in a place inaccessible to children. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
- In case of fertiliser spillage, wash contaminated areas with plenty of water.
- Storage temperature 0-35°C.
- P 102 - keep out of reach of children.
- P 270 – do not eat, drink or smoke when using the product.
Application and dosage
Do not use with phosphorus fertilisers and sulphates directly before or after spraying with oil-based products. Wait 10 days.
