Description
CAPRENO PAK:
Capreno Pak is a comprehensive herbicide solution for post-emergence weed control in maize, combining the effectiveness of Capreno 547 SC with the dedicated oil adjuvant Mero. The herbicide effectively eliminates a broad spectrum of mono- and dicotyledonous weeds thanks to the synergistic action of tembotrione and methyl thiencarbazone. The addition of the adjuvant optimises the product’s performance by improving plant coverage, penetration of active substances and increasing treatment efficacy, resulting in a clean field and high maize yield potential.
ACTION OF CAPRENO 547 SC:
Capreno 547 SC is a systemic herbicide intended for post-emergence control of dicotyledonous weeds and some monocotyledonous weeds (including grass foxtail) in maize cultivation. The product contains two complementary active substances that enable more effective crop protection.
Tembotrione is rapidly transported throughout the plant, with the first symptoms of its action appearing as light discolorations about 5-7 days after application. Methyl thiencarbazone is absorbed through the leaves and also through the roots of weeds, allowing partial protection of the crop against the emergence of a subsequent wave of weeds in the field.
The product is most effective against young, vigorously growing species in the early growth stages from seedling to 2-4 true leaves. The full herbicidal effect is visible about 14 days after treatment.
The product is supplied as a convenient concentrated suspension concentrate for dilution with water.
ACTIVE SUBSTANCES IN CAPRENO 547 SC:
tembotrione (a substance from the triketone group) - 345 g/l (28.3%)
methyl thiencarbazone (a substance from the triazolinone group) - 68 g/l (5.6%)
APPLICATION SCOPE, TIMING AND DOSES OF CAPRENO 547 SC:
The product is intended for use with self-propelled or tractor-mounted field sprayers.
Capreno 547 SC - effect on weeds:
Sensitive weeds: cornflower, grass foxtail, common fumitory, field violet, common chickweed, purple dead-nettle, red dead-nettle, white goosefoot, common chamomile, black nightshade, field bindweed (field bindweed), knotweed, pale persicaria, volunteer oilseed rape (germinating from seeds), rough amaranth, shepherd's purse, field pennycress, small-flowered yellowcress
Moderately sensitive weeds: cleavers.
How to apply Capreno 547 SC:
Maize
Application timing: Apply post-emergence from the 3-leaf to the 5-leaf stage of maize plants (BBCH 13-15) (the timing depends on the growth stage of the weed species present in the field).
The treatment should be carried out after the mass emergence of most weed species present in the field, when most are at the seedling to 2-4 leaf stage.
For control of grass foxtail, it is best to apply when the foxtail plants are at the 2-leaf to early tillering stage.
The product should be used with the oil adjuvant Mero 842 EC.
Maximum dose for single application: 0.29 l/ha + 2.0 l Mero 842 EC
Recommended dose for single application: 0.22 - 0.29 l/ha + 2.0 l Mero 842 EC
A higher dose should be used under heavy weed pressure and on heavy soils.
Maximum number of treatments per growing season: 1
Recommended water volume: 200-300 l/ha
Recommended spraying: medium droplet size
CAPRENO PRE-HARVEST INTERVAL:
not applicable
ACTION OF MERO 842 EC:
Mero is a liquid adjuvant with an oily formulation, intended for use with selected plant protection products for which adjuvant support is recommended. Its action optimises treatment efficacy by improving plant surface coverage, increasing penetration of active substances, and enhancing the overall protective effect.
