Description
Cucumber Resital
This makes them less susceptible to diseases and pests, especially resistant to spider mites. The variety performs well in challenging weather conditions, showing high heat tolerance and excellent regeneration ability.
The higher chlorophyll content promotes better assimilate production, which results in a strong, well-developed root system and translates into higher yields.
The plants produce numerous lateral shoots and small leaves, which facilitates and speeds up harvesting. The fruits grow slowly in thickness, which with regular harvesting results in a large proportion of small cucumbers in the total yield.
The variety is intended for delayed harvests, known as LFP – low frequency picking.
The fruits are green, slender, with a coarse tuberculate surface and have a length to diameter ratio of 3.1:1. They feature a small, compact seed cavity, thick flesh and a crunchy skin, making them ideal for the production of lightly fermented and pickled cucumbers.
In previous years, the variety achieved very good results in trial plantations in Poland, Germany, the Balkans and Turkey. It is recommended both for the fresh market and as a high-quality raw material for processing.
