Description
Annual plant with climbing or trailing shoots, perfect for planting around gazebos, fences or as ground cover. In late summer and autumn, numerous edible, creamy-white, slightly ribbed fruits with green streaks, stripes and spots appear. The fruit flesh is orange, juicy, very sweet and very tasty. It can be used for stuffing or making compotes. Fruits harvested in autumn before frost retain their decorative and utilitarian value throughout the winter. Sow seeds directly into the ground at the beginning of May, 2-3 seeds per spot spaced 50-80 cm apart. Germination occurs after 10-14 days. Cultivate in fertile, not too dry soil in a sunny location.
