EVRITELL 162 OD (dicamba, nicosulfuron, thifensulfuron-methyl) Quemetica - herbicide
Evritel 160 OD is a selective systemic foliar herbicide designed for effective control of monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds in maize cultivation.
Description
Evritel 160 OD – an effective herbicide for maize weed control
Evritel 160 OD is a selective systemic herbicide, intended for foliar application in maize cultivation. The product is available as an oil dispersion (OD) for dilution with water and is intended for professional users.
The preparation contains three active substances: dicamba, nicosulfuron and thifensulfuron-methyl, belonging to different chemical groups (HRAC 4 and HRAC 2), which increases efficacy and supports resistance management strategies.
Mode of action
Evritel 160 OD acts through a combination of two mechanisms. Dicamba acts as a synthetic auxin, disrupting weed growth and development, leading to deformation and death.
Nicosulfuron and thifensulfuron-methyl inhibit protein biosynthesis by blocking the ALS enzyme, causing growth inhibition, discolouration and gradual weed death.
The product is mainly absorbed through the leaves, then rapidly translocated within the plant. Full efficacy is visible about 3–4 weeks after treatment.
Application and spectrum of controlled weeds
Evritel 160 OD is intended for control of a wide spectrum of monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds in maize.
- green foxtail
- common lambsquarters
- cleavers
- common chickweed
- scentless mayweed
- field pennycress
The highest efficacy is achieved when controlling young, vigorously growing weeds at the 2–6 leaf stage.
Usage recommendations
Apply the product at the 2–6 leaf stage of maize (BBCH 12–16), ensuring even coverage of weeds with spray liquid. The dose should be selected depending on the degree of weed infestation and the developmental stage of the weeds.
Evritel 160 OD is most effective under favourable growing conditions, at temperatures of 10–25°C and adequate humidity.
Benefits of using Evritel 160 OD
- wide spectrum of controlled weeds
- combination of three active substances with different modes of action
- systemic action and rapid translocation within the plant
- high efficacy at early weed development stages
- supports resistance management strategy (HRAC 2 + 4)
Notes
The product is not intended for use in sweet maize or seed production plantations. Do not apply to weakened plants or under stress conditions.
Use the product in accordance with the plant protection product label and integrated pest management principles.
