FIORIS BUTTERHEAD LETTUCE - VARIETY CHARACTERISTICS:

intended use: supermarket, fresh market

Fioris butterhead lettuce is a high-quality variety suitable for both open field and protected cultivation, from spring to autumn. It is especially recommended for regions with intensive lettuce cultivation, in locations exposed to increased pressure from fungal diseases such as Fusarium and downy mildew – this resistance was confirmed by tests conducted in the 2024-2025 season.

The Fioris variety is characterised by great cultivation flexibility thanks to high tolerance to tipburn, rot and bolting. The lettuce heads are medium light green, with an ideal shape – balanced between a rosette habit and a moderately closed, flat shape, which facilitates packing and makes them desirable for both supermarket chains and the fresh market.

Fioris also stands out for excellent post-harvest durability and high flavour qualities, making it an ideal choice for both commercial producers and smaller farms.

Regarding cultivation:

Under protection: planting from April to September, harvesting from May to October.

Open field: planting from April to September, harvesting from May to October.
