First Aid Fertiliser for Thuja and Cypress Twój Ogród is a granulated NPK fertiliser with magnesium, sulphur and micronutrients with reduced chloride content. It is intended for pre-sowing and top dressing fertilisation in the cultivation of thuja and cypress. Free from harmful chlorides. It regulates the acidity of the growing medium according to the needs of thuja and cypress. It supplies plants with all essential nutrients and keeps them in good condition throughout the year. Regular fertilisation with fertilisers without micronutrients causes plants to look unattractive, their needles are not optimally coloured. These may be symptoms of micronutrient deficiency. Iron (Fe) plays a key role in optimal colouring.

Growing and care conditions for thuja and cypress:
Thuja and cypress are among the most popular plants in our gardens, gaining popularity due to their high resistance to adverse atmospheric conditions. They provide beautiful greenery all year round. The plants prefer locations from sunny to semi-shaded, growing best on fertile and moist soils.
Thuja and cypress require fertilisation throughout the growing season; to ensure optimal effect, different types of fertilisers should be used alternately. Different types and methods of fertilising thuja and cypress (top dressing, foliar fertilisation) change with the seasons. Fertilisation of thuja and cypress starts in spring and continues until mid-summer. Proper care and regular fertilisation of thuja and cypress should be done using mineral and compound fertilisers containing micro and macronutrients.
Thuja and cypress require moist soils; to provide comfortable conditions during drought and sunny weather, they should be watered at least once a week. It is very important to remember watering during winter, as conifers find it harder to absorb water from frozen soil. In autumn (if dry), watering plants is necessary. Well-watered plants better withstand harsh winter conditions. Evergreen plants often dry out in winter and early spring due to lack of water.
Mulching the soil positively affects the growth and overall condition of thuja and cypress. Bark is most commonly used, which limits weed growth. Mulching benefits plant development, regulates soil pH, retains water and supports the development of beneficial microorganisms. Fallen needles and scales from thuja and cypress naturally mix with the growing medium, turning into humus.
Neglecting proper fertilisation, thuja and cypress quickly react to the lack of essential elements, which manifests as poorer growth, weaker colouring and susceptibility to diseases, and reduced resistance to pest attacks.
The first pruning of thuja and cypress is done one year after planting. Only shoots longer than 1.5 m are trimmed. During summer pruning, shoots are shortened by half their length, and dead and damaged branches are removed. In winter, plants do not require pruning; only damaged, frostbitten, dried shoots should be removed. Thuja and cypress are often pruned to limit their size or to shape them as desired.
Selected species of thuja and cypress are also suitable for planting in pots on balconies and terraces.
First Aid Granulated Fertiliser for Thuja and Cypress Twój Ogród - usage tips:
- Fertilisers should be used in a balanced way, and fertilisation should be based on the plant’s needs and the growing medium’s fertility.
- Prevent fertiliser from getting onto surfaces not intended for fertilisation.
- Store fertiliser in closed, original packaging, in dry rooms, away from food and feed, in places inaccessible to children.
- During storage and transport, protect from heat, direct sunlight, moisture and mechanical damage to packaging.
- Shelf life - unlimited if storage conditions are met.

Apply the fertiliser top dressing, evenly over the entire area around the plant up to the distance of the outermost branches from the trunk. Fertilise at a dose of 20-60 g/m2. 1kg of fertiliser is enough for 33m2. |
Fertilisation should be repeated 2-3 times at intervals of about 4-6 weeks from the start of vegetation until mid-July. |
