Description

Florovit acidifying fertiliser effectively acidifies the growing medium (lowers pH) while providing suitable conditions for the development of acid-loving plants. Using the fertiliser promotes the uptake of nutrients available in the soil by plants.

By using the acidifying fertiliser, you ensure the proper growth and development of acid-loving plants.

Tips:

  • The fertiliser should be spread over the area corresponding to the diameter of the shrub crowns
  • Mixing the fertiliser with the soil/growing medium improves the effectiveness of the fertiliser
  • Regular watering increases the efficiency of fertilisation
  • To maintain low soil pH, avoid using compost, manure, and alkaline mineral fertilisers (calcium nitrate, magnesium nitrate, ammonium nitrate), which cause an increase in soil pH.

Acid-loving plants include:

• azaleas
• blueberries
• pansies
• hydrangeas
• conifers (such as: juniper, spruce, cypress, yew, eastern white pine)
• kalmias
• magnolias
• raspberries and blackberries
• pieris
• rhododendrons
• sedges
• heathers and heaths
• broom
• cranberries

Application method:

Growing medium preparation: Recommended dose 12 g/10 l of growing medium. The fertiliser should be mixed with the growing medium.

Established plants:
Surface application - 15 g/m2. Apply twice – before the start of vegetation and at the beginning of June. The fertiliser should be mixed with the topsoil layer without damaging the roots.

Watering - rhododendrons, azaleas, blueberries – dissolve 10 g of fertiliser in 10 l of water, water every 3-4 weeks; conifers, heathers, hydrangeas – dissolve 5-10 g of fertiliser in 10 l of water, water once a month.

Fertiliser composition:

EC FERTILISER Fertiliser type – Ammonium sulphate

20.8 % (N) ammonium nitrogen
