Description

Green Round Pole Bean Vine - characteristics

Green Round Pole Bean Vine is a new, promising variety of climbing bean. The pods have a dark green colour with a slight sheen.

They stand out for their exceptional uniformity and are completely fibre-free, making them extremely visually and flavourfully appealing.

Why choose Vine Beans?

Vine provides a very high and early yield, with the first harvests occurring about 60 days after sowing. The pods are tender, tasty and free of fibres, which enhances their culinary value.

The vines reach a height of 4–5 metres, and regular picking of young pods stimulates the plants to continue yielding. Resistance to common bean mosaic further increases crop security.

Uses and cultivation recommendations

This variety is ideal for cultivation in both traditional systems and modern ones, such as mineral wool. Initial fertilisation should include a high level of nitrogen, and potassium levels should be increased during the yield period.

Harvesting takes place every 2–3 days and can last up to 3 months, ensuring long-lasting and intensive production.

Main advantages of the variety:

  • Very high yield.
  • Resistance to common bean mosaic.
  • Pods free of fibres, very tasty.
  • Uniform and attractive pods.

Cultivation tips:

  • Plant density: 320–350 plants per 100 m².
  • Training: one plant per string.
  • Pruning: the variety does not require pruning or training.
  • Harvesting: regular picking of young pods stimulates further fruiting.

Growing schedule:

  • Sowing: from February in greenhouses.
  • First yield: about 60 days after sowing.
  • Harvesting: every 2–3 days for about 3 months.
