Description

Substral 100 days for Hydrangeas: long-acting fertiliser for fertilising and acidifying

  • 2-in-1 - fertilises and acidifies.
  • Dedicated to hydrangeas, but can also be used for other acid-loving plants.
  • Long-lasting effect: Works 3 times longer and more efficiently than regular granules - fertilising plants for up to 100 days.
  • Fertiliser release is controlled by natural factors such as moisture and temperature.
  • Nutrients are taken up daily by plant roots.
  • Provides immediate effect after spreading and watering.
  • Ensures controlled, even growth, contributing to beautiful, lushly flowering plants.
  • The mini-granule form ensures even fertilisation across the entire surface and quick dissolving of the fertiliser.
  • Delivers essential nutrients to plants, supporting their healthy development.
  • No risk of over-fertilisation.
  • Efficient: 1kg of fertiliser is enough to fertilise up to 20 hydrangea bushes

Substral 100 Days Hortensja is a long-acting fertiliser specially formulated to meet the needs of hydrangeas and other acid-loving plants. The ingredients of the 100 Days fertiliser have been carefully selected to satisfy these plants' requirements, guaranteeing visible results during the season. After spreading and watering, the fertiliser gradually dissolves, penetrating the topsoil layer. It remains there for up to 100 days, slowly supplying nutrients that are absorbed by the plant roots as needed.

The fertiliser release process is controlled by natural factors, ensuring plants receive small, tailored doses of nutrients daily. The fertiliser remains effective for over 3 months, meaning only one or two fertilisations per season are necessary. This also eliminates the risk of over-fertilisation. The fertiliser is highly efficient because plants can utilise up to 70% of the nutrients, compared to standard granules where nutrient uptake by plants is only 25%.

Additionally, the package includes a sachet dedicated to acidifying (lowering soil pH) to prepare the site for hydrangea cultivation (acid-loving plant).

Long-acting fertiliser Hydrangea 100 Days Substral - application and dosage:

  • Soil fertilisers to be spread around plants within a radius of up to 80 cm (depending on bush size).
  • Fertilisers should be applied at the same time but in different doses.
  • Acidifying:
    - In hydrangea cultivation, maintaining acidic growing medium is important, especially when it cannot be replaced; the growing medium pH greatly affects growth and abundant flowering.
    - Dose: First year of cultivation 10 g, subsequent years 15 g.
  • Fertilisation:
    - The larger sachet contains mineral fertiliser balanced for hydrangea requirements, ensuring abundant and long flowering.
    - It is a long-acting fertiliser (up to 100 days), so only 1-2 fertilisations per season are needed.
    - After spreading, water thoroughly.
    - Dose: First year of cultivation 20 g, subsequent years 30 g.
  • Increasing the acidity of the growing medium promotes changing flower colour to blue or purple, which applies to garden hydrangea varieties with pink or red flowers.
  • Several flower shades on one bush indicate that the growing medium within the bush area has slightly varied acidity.
