Major 300 SL

MAJOR 300 SL ACTION:

Major 300 SL is a professional selective systemic herbicide, intended for foliar control of a wide range of weeds in oilseed rape, winter wheat and sugar beet crops. The product is a concentrate for preparing an aqueous solution, which facilitates its application using field sprayers.

The active substance, chlopyralid, belongs to the group of so-called synthetic auxins, which disrupt the action of natural plant hormones. The product is rapidly absorbed through the leaves of weeds and then moves throughout the plant, disturbing key metabolic processes such as cell division and protein synthesis. This way, the herbicide effectively inhibits the growth and development of unwanted plants. The best results can be achieved by applying Major 300 SL to young, vigorously growing weeds in the stage from 2-3 leaves to the rosette stage.

Resistant weeds: small geranium, field violet, common chickweed, corn poppy, Persian speedwell, shepherd's purse.

b) Product used in mixture:

Major 300 SL 0.3 l/ha + Zorro 300 SL/Raldico 300 SL/Pikas 300 SL 0.078 l/ha + Mezzo 500 SC/Mezotop 500 SC/Metax 500 SC 1.5 l/ha

Resistant weeds: fumitory, field violet.

Sugar beet

Product used alone at a dose of 0.3-0.4 l/ha or at a dose of 3 x 0.2 l/ha

Sensitive weeds: cornflower, field thistle, common chamomile, scentless mayweed, climbing buckwheat (climbing smartweed), scentless chamomile, small-flowered yellow-cress.

Resistant weeds: white goosefoot, corn poppy, knotgrass.

MAJOR 300 SL SCOPE OF USE, TIMING AND DOSES:

The product is intended for use with self-propelled or tractor-mounted field sprayers.

MAJOR 300 SL - DOSAGE:

Oilseed rape

Application timing: apply the product at one of the following timings:

A. Autumn - from the 3rd leaf stage to the 4th leaf stage of oilseed rape (BBCH 13-14).

Use the product only in mixtures at the following doses:

B. Autumn - from the beginning of side shoot development to the development of the first side shoot (BBCH 20-21).

Use the product alone:

Maximum / recommended dose for single application: 0.2 l/ha.

Use of the product in mixture:

To increase the effectiveness of cornflower control, it is recommended to apply Major 300 SL together with the adjuvant Asystent+ at doses:

Major 300 SL 0.2 l/ha + Asystent+ 0.1 l/ha.

or

To increase effectiveness, it is recommended to apply Major 300 SL together with Zorro 300 SL/Raldico 300 SL/Pikas 300 SL at doses:

Major 300 SL 0.2 l/ha + Zorro 300 SL/Raldico 300 SL/Pikas 300 SL 0.078 l/ha.

C. Spring - after the start of vegetation, but no later than the beginning of flower bud formation by oilseed rape plants (flower buds enclosed in leaves – BBCH 50).

Use of the product alone:

Maximum dose for single application: 0.4 l/ha

Recommended dose for single application: 0.3-0.4 l/ha

Use of the product in mixture:

To increase effectiveness, it is recommended to apply Major 300 SL together with Zorro 300 SL/Raldico 300 SL/Pikas 300 SL at doses:

Major 300 SL 0.3 l/ha + Zorro 300 SL/Raldico 300 SL/Pikas 300 SL 0.078 l/ha.

Recommended water volume: 200-300 l/ha.

Recommended spraying: medium droplet size.

Maximum number of treatments per growing season: 1 (autumn or spring)

NOTE:

Negative or low temperatures occurring several days after application in oilseed rape may cause transient phytotoxicity symptoms, which do not affect yield.

For proper effectiveness of treatment performed on plants especially in the BBCH 20-21 stage of oilseed rape, good penetration of the spray liquid and good coverage of weeds with spray liquid should be ensured.

Winter wheat

Maximum dose for single application: 0.4 l/ha

Recommended dose for single application: 0.3-0.4 l/ha

Application timing: treatment should be performed in spring from the beginning to the end of tillering phase of the cereal (BBCH 20-29).

Recommended water volume: 200-300 l/ha.

Recommended spraying: medium droplet size.

Maximum number of treatments per growing season: 1

Sugar beet

1. Maximum dose for single application: 0.4 l/ha

Recommended dose for single application: 0.3-0.4 l/ha

Application timing: treatment should be performed at the 2-4 leaf stage of sugar beet (BBCH 12-14).

Recommended water volume: 200-300 l/ha.

Recommended spraying: medium droplet size.

Maximum number of treatments per growing season: 1

2. The product can also be applied in a sequence of three treatments:

Maximum / recommended dose for triple application:

– first treatment 0.2 l/ha,

– second treatment 0.2 l/ha,

– third treatment 0.2 l/ha.

Application timing: The first treatment should be performed at the 2-4 leaf stage of sugar beet (BBCH 12-14), and subsequent treatments on successive weed emergences.

Recommended water volume: 200-300 l/ha.

Recommended spraying: medium droplet size.

Maximum number of treatments per growing season: 3 (only when using a dose of 0.2 l/ha)

Interval between treatments: 6 - 10 days
