Barbados PVO1649 F1 is an early Cantaloupe type melon, maturing in about 90 days. The fruits reach an impressive weight of 1.8–2.3 kg and are covered with a skin featuring a distinct netting, without ribbing. The flesh is intensely orange, very sweet and exceptionally aromatic.
The melon is characterised by very good post-harvest shelf life and can be stored for up to 14 days after harvest without quality loss. The variety is resistant to powdery mildew and Fusarium, ensuring high reliability in cultivation and good yield.
