Description
ACTION OF NERO 424EC:
Nero 424 EC is a specialised soil herbicide in the form of a concentrate for preparing an aqueous emulsion, intended for effective control of selected annual dicotyledonous and monocotyledonous weeds in winter oilseed rape.
The product is absorbed by the roots and hypocotyl of germinating weeds, with its greatest effectiveness observed up to the first leaf stage. The mode of action is based on the synergy of two active substances:
- Petoxamide – inhibits cell division and lipid biosynthesis, effectively preventing weed emergence. Additionally, the presence of the herbicide in the soil delays later weed emergence for several weeks.
- Chlomazon – blocks carotenoid and chlorophyll biosynthesis in weeds, leading to delayed or complete cessation of their emergence. Weeds that do emerge show symptoms of chlorosis (bleaching) and are weakened, making them susceptible to destruction.
ADVANTAGES OF USING NERO 424 EC:
- Synergistic soil action: The combination of two active ingredients ensures comprehensive and effective weed control.
- Broad spectrum of controlled weeds: Effectively eliminates various dicotyledonous weeds.
- Long-lasting protection of oilseed rape: Provides crop protection from the early stages of vegetation.
- High efficacy on key weeds: Effectively controls important species such as cleavers, chamomile species and cruciferous weeds.
- Flexibility in dosing: The Nero® dose range allows precise adjustment to diverse field conditions.
- Possibility of pre-emergence application: Enables early intervention before weeds appear on the soil surface.
