Description
PERLKA Azotniak (calcium cyanamide)
Fertilisation and soil pathogen control
Perlka is the first and oldest slow-acting calcium nitrogen fertiliser and at the same time a fertiliser that, due to its unique properties, effectively improves soil health and productivity.
Perlka is also the answer to most phytosanitary problems in the soil.
This especially applies to plantations where monoculture cultivation is carried out (polytunnels, allotment gardens, nurseries, etc.) or with poor crop rotation.
Furthermore, intensive cultivation and simplified technologies have a very significant impact on the development of soil agro-pests. Why is this so? On agricultural plantations subjected to strong pressure from plant protection products and intensive cultivation techniques, accelerated adaptation or resistance of many agro-pest species to plant protection products is observed. Monoculture and poor crop rotation only intensify these processes until the infection threshold is exceeded, and then we observe; root system damage, wilted, damaged plants, lack of vigour or complete plant death.
Soil agro-pests susceptible to the fertiliser (cyanamide H2CN2):
- Nematodes
- White grubs
- Wireworms
- Slugs
- Soil-borne diseases including: Clubroot, Sclerotinia stem rot, Fusarium, Verticillium, Seedling blight.
After applying Perlka fertiliser and undergoing chemical transformations, there are no harmful residues left in the soil; hydrolysis of the fertiliser produces only calcium and urea, which are essential nutrients for plants.
Advantages of using Perlka fertiliser
- Slow-release nitrogen (approximately 6-8 weeks)
- No nitrate residues in plants
- Very high resistance to leaching from the soil
- Reduces spore germination (Clubroot, Sclerotinia, Verticillium, Fusarium)
- Limits mycelium growth (Phytophthora, Pythium)
- Reduces release of ascomycete spores (Sclerotinia, ergot, scab)
- Stabilises soil pH
- Increases soil fertility
- Reduces soil agro-pest populations
