Description

Polifoska Start - fertiliser for lawns, ornamental plants, conifers, shrubs and fruit trees, vegetables and strawberries

What are the benefits of using Polifoska Start fertiliser?

  • Contains a properly balanced composition, thus delivering nutrients in appropriate proportions,
  • Properly selected forms of nutrients: nitrogen in two forms, phosphorus with an addition of polyphosphate form, potassium in sulphate form,
  • High content of sulphur, magnesium and micronutrients, which increases the absorption of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium,
  • Dissolves quickly, releasing nutrients - thanks to the nitrate form content and special physical properties of the granules,
  • Characterised by low chloride content.

Polifoska Start is an NPK fertiliser in granule form. It is characterised by low chloride content. This fertiliser belongs to compound fertilisers with added micronutrients. It is applied by broadcasting, for soil preparation just before sowing or planting, but also for top dressing.

Polifoska Start fertiliser benefits all types of crops!

Thanks to fertilisation with Polifoska Start you will see positive effects in field vegetable crops, soil-grown crops under covers, and orchard crops. Moreover, it will positively affect the cultivation of ornamental plants.

You don’t have to worry about the correct proportions of elements and compounds - Polifoska Start fertiliser has been created so you don’t have to think about it. It contains a properly balanced composition, thus delivering nutrients in appropriate proportions.

The forms of nutrients are also properly selected. What does this mean? It means: nitrogen in two forms (released evenly during vegetation), phosphorus with an addition of polyphosphate form (active and not strongly bound by soil), potassium in sulphate form (improves yield quality in all plant groups and is especially important for crops sensitive to chlorides).

What else distinguishes Polifoska Start fertiliser? Certainly the high content of sulphur, magnesium and micronutrients. Thanks to these components the utilisation of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium is increased.

Due to the presence of nitrate form (which initiates water uptake) and the physical properties of "prill" type granules, Polifoska Start fertiliser has very good solubility, which makes it dissolve quickly, releasing nutrients.

Is Polifoska Start fertiliser perfect? We can certainly say that it has excellent physical parameters – proper granulation, hardness, bulk density. Additionally, it boasts low dust content, which means the fertiliser is easy and precise to spread, delivering an even amount of nutrients across the entire crop area.

Which plants does Polifoska Start fertiliser work on?

  • For plants very sensitive to chlorides, including: tobacco, red currant, gooseberry, raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, blueberry, stone fruit trees - especially sweet cherry, early vegetables, bean, cucumber, sweet pepper, onion, lettuce, hop, all crops under covers, flowering and ornamental plants, and seedlings of most plants,
  • For plants relatively sensitive to chlorides, including: potato, sunflower, grapevine, pome fruit trees, black currant, tomato, radish, kohlrabi, Brussels sprouts, pea, spinach, carrot, garlic, radish, chicory.

What is the composition of Polifoska Start?

  • 12% nitrogen (N), including 7% in ammonium form and 5% in amide form,
  • 11% phosphorus (P2O5) soluble in neutral ammonium citrate and water, i.e. available in mono- and diammonium phosphate form, and 8.8% soluble in water,
  • 18% potassium (K2O) soluble in water in potassium sulphate form,
  • 2.7% magnesium (MgO) total in carbonate form,
  • 26% sulphur trioxide (SO3) soluble in water, in sulphate form,
  • Also contains very important micronutrients: boron (B) 0.015%, iron (Fe) 0.5% and zinc (Zn) 0.02% in easily assimilable forms.

How to use Polifoska Start fertiliser?

Polifoska Start fertiliser will be most effective when applied in spring, 10-14 days before sowing or planting, mixing with soil to a depth of 10-20 cm.

You can safely mix this fertiliser (just before spreading) with urea, ammonium nitrate and calcium ammonium nitrate as well as potassium sulphate.

How to dose Polifoska Start?

Application and dosage

What are the recommended doses of Polifoska Start?

When using manure, it is recommended to reduce the fertiliser dose by about 30%.

In the recommended nitrogen dose, take into account the nitrogen supplied by Polifoska Start, dividing nitrogen doses and application timings according to agrotechnical recommendations.

Lawn:

  • Recommended dose: 60-120 kg/ha.

Ornamental plants, conifers:

  • Recommended dose: 40-80 kg/ha.

Shrubs and fruit trees:

  • Recommended dose: 60-120 kg/ha.

Onion:

  • Recommended dose: 120 kg/ha.

Cauliflower, broccoli, Brussels sprouts:

  • Recommended dose: 250 kg/ha.

White and red cabbage:

  • Recommended dose: 200 kg/ha.

Chinese cabbage, savoy cabbage:

  • Recommended dose: 180 kg/ha.

Carrot:

  • Recommended dose: 150 kg/ha.

Cucumber:

  • Recommended dose: 140 kg/ha.
