Tannat onion is a dark red long-day type variety with a medium late to late maturity period. It produces large bulbs thanks to strong, spreading leaves.
It is characterised by an intense colour both on the outside and inside of the bulb and a strong root system, which provides good tolerance to pink root and fusarium. The storage period ranges from 4 to 8 months.
