Description
ACTION OF KŁODAWSKA ROAD SALT:
Kłodawska road salt is a natural highly effective agent designed to combat winter surface icing. It is a product in the form of rock salt, which, due to its physicochemical properties, effectively lowers the freezing point of water. Upon contact with ice or compacted snow, the salt initiates an exothermic reaction, creating a brine solution that disrupts the frozen layer's structure and causes it to melt quickly. Thanks to this, the ice removal process becomes easy and does not require excessive physical effort. Kłodawska salt performs excellently in harsh weather conditions, restoring surface roughness and minimising the risk of slipping.
Advantages of Using Anti-Ice Salt:
- High melting efficiency: Quickly reacts with ice, effectively dissolving frozen layers even at low temperatures.
- Natural origin: The product is natural rock salt, mined in Polish mines, ensuring high quality.
- Convenient application: The granular consistency allows for even distribution of the product both manually and using spreaders.
- Versatility: Ideal for securing pedestrian routes, roads, and public utility areas.
- Improved safety: Effectively eliminates post-snow slipperiness and ice, preventing accidents.
ROAD SALT ACTIVE SUBSTANCE CONTENT:
sodium chloride (NaCl) - natural rock salt with optimal granulation for controlling slipperiness.
SCOPE OF USE AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
Product application:
Application areas: pavements, pedestrian routes, external stairs, garage driveways, car parks, manoeuvring areas, housing estate roads, loading ramps, and other hardened surfaces requiring winter maintenance.
How to use road salt:
Surface preparation and application
To achieve the best results and minimise product consumption, it is recommended to follow the steps below.
a) Removing loose snow
Before applying the salt, mechanically remove the loose layer of fresh snow as much as possible using a shovel or snow blower. This allows the salt to act directly on the ice or frozen snow layer.
b) Application of the agent
Salt should be evenly spread over the icy surface. The amount of product used should be adjusted to the thickness of the ice layer and the prevailing temperature. Manual spreading (with protective gloves) or mechanical spreading using spreaders can be used.
c) Action and removal of slush
After application, wait for the salt to react with the ice and dissolve it, creating slush. The dissolved substance should be mechanically removed from the surface to prevent refreezing during significant temperature drops.
WARNING:
The product is intended for use on hardened surfaces. Avoid direct spreading of salt under trees and ornamental shrubs as well as on lawns, as excessive soil salinity may affect plant growth.
STORAGE AND PRECAUTIONS
Salt is a hygroscopic substance (absorbs moisture from the environment). The product should be stored in a dry, covered place protected from direct exposure to weather conditions to maintain its free-flowing nature and properties. It is recommended to use protective gloves during application to avoid skin irritation.
