Substral Polysect Gall Midge - long-lasting insecticide controlling gall midge, aphids, scale insects, mealybugs, leafhoppers, fungus gnats. Available as a concentrate for preparing an aqueous emulsion. Exhibits contact and stomach action. Intended for use on garden plants and shrubs, including roses, larch and in the cultivation of indoor ornamental plants. Can be used in mixtures, as well as outdoors (in soil) or under covers (greenhouses, tunnels and home seedbeds). Also suitable for some vegetable plants grown under covers. Controls existing insects and acts systemically - penetrates deep into the plant and circulates with its sap, protecting the plant for up to 3 weeks.

Substral Polysect Gall Midge insecticide - mode of action:

Substral Polysect Gall Midge is a systemic insecticide - it penetrates deep into the plant and circulates with its sap, thus protecting the plant from within.

Rainfall, washing off from the plant surface and sunlight exposure have no significant effect on a product characterised by systemic action. This results in longer protection against pests compared to spraying with products of other modes of action.

Recommended especially for garden use as a fine spray. Application early in the morning or evening is advised. For outdoor use from April to the end of September.

Long-lasting Substral Polysect Gall Midge for garden plants and shrubs - composition:

• acetamiprid (insecticide from the neonicotinoid group) - 5 g/l (0.5%).

• Avoid contamination of eyes.
• Do not contaminate water with the plant protection product or its packaging. Do not wash equipment near surface waters. Avoid contamination of water through drainage ditches from farms and roads. To protect aquatic organisms, a buffer zone of 20 m from water bodies and watercourses must be established.
• The pre-harvest interval for use on edible plants is 14 days from the day of spraying.
