Deep Purple F1 carrot is an industrial variety with purple roots, mainly intended for autumn harvests. It is characterised by a very intensely coloured cortex and a lighter core, with a vegetation period of about 135 days. The roots are distinguished by a very high lutein content.

The variety is used in industry, where it is utilised for the production of natural dyes and juices. Sowing is recommended from mid-May to mid-June, at a rate of 0.7–0.8 million seeds per hectare.

Deep Purple F1 requires increased protection against fungal diseases and shows IR resistance to Ps and Pv.
