Carrot Farah F1 is a very high-yielding industrial variety of the Komarno type (flakkeer) with a long vegetation period of about 162 days. It produces large, rather conical roots with a very smooth surface and uniform, dark orange-red colouring.

The variety is characterised by tolerance to vernalisation in early sowings. Vigorous and healthy tops facilitate mechanical harvesting, and very good yield performance has been confirmed in trials. Farah F1 shows IR resistance to alternaria leaf spot (Ad), downy mildew (Ar) and Cercospora (Cc).

Thanks to its universal use, the variety is intended for processing, especially for freezing, juice production and drying. The recommended sowing timing is from 20 April to 10 May, with a rate of 0.7–0.8 million seeds per hectare.
