Cuter (mesotrione) Cropthetics - herbicide
Cuter Cropthetics is a selective herbicide in concentrate form, used for the control of dicotyledonous weeds in maize cultivation. It acts systemically, absorbed mainly through the leaves and roots of weeds, inhibiting their growth and development.
Description
Cuter Cropthetics - herbicide for dicotyledonous weeds
- Effectively controls dicotyledonous weeds.
- Dedicated action - for weed control in maize cultivation.
- In a convenient and efficient concentrate form.
Cuter is a selective herbicide in concentrate form as a concentrated suspension for dilution with water. Used for the control of dicotyledonous weeds in maize cultivation. A product with systemic action. For foliar application.
The product is intended for use with self-propelled or tractor-mounted field sprayers.
Cuter herbicide - active substance content:
- mesotrione (a compound from the triketone group) – 100 g/l (9.38%).
According to HRAC classification, the active substance mesotrione belongs to group F2.
Cuter Cropthetics - mode of action:
The product is absorbed mainly through the leaves and additionally through the roots of weeds and is rapidly translocated within the plant, inhibiting its growth and development. It causes inhibition of carotenoid biosynthesis in weed plants, resulting in chlorophyll destruction, manifested by leaf bleaching.
First symptoms of the product’s action are visible 5-7 days after application. Weed death occurs after about 14 days.
Apply the product after weed emergence at the 2-8 true leaf stage. Optimal efficacy is achieved when applied at the 4 true leaf stage.
Which weeds does the Cuter herbicide control?
Dose 0.75 l/ha - sensitive weeds:
- field pansy,
- field mustard,
- common chickweed,
- black nightshade.
Dose 0.75 l/ha - moderately sensitive weeds:
- green foxtail.
Dose 0.75 l/ha - moderately resistant weeds:
- volunteer oilseed rape.
Dose 1.5 l/ha - sensitive weeds:
- green foxtail,
- field pansy,
- field mustard,
- common chickweed,
- black nightshade,
- volunteer oilseed rape.
Cuter - use in crops:
- Maize grown for grain,
- Maize for silage.
Cuter herbicide - crop rotation:
If early ploughing of the treated field is necessary (due to damage to maize by hail, diseases, pests or frost), only maize grown for grain or silage may be cultivated on the field. Temporary and rapidly fading phytotoxic symptoms may appear immediately after emergence. After maize treated with the product, under normal growing conditions and typical cultivation, perennial ryegrass, winter wheat, durum wheat and winter barley can be grown in autumn, and after ploughing to at least 15 cm, winter oilseed rape. In spring, spring barley, spring wheat, perennial ryegrass, maize grown for grain and maize for silage can be grown.
Cuter herbicide for dicotyledonous weeds - pre-harvest interval and re-entry period:
Pre-harvest interval - time from last application to crop harvest:
- Not applicable.
Re-entry period - time from application until people and animals may enter the treated area:
- 2 days.
Cuter - preparation of spray liquid:
Use the product at 0.75–1.5 litres per hectare in 200–300 litres of water per hectare. Select the dose based on the recommended range for the present weed species, see “WEED CONTROL”. Choose the best water volume from the recommended range to achieve even and good coverage of weed foliage. If possible, use the minimum water volume (200 litres per hectare) — a higher volume (300 litres per hectare) may be required if weed foliage is dense. Do not exceed the maximum recommended water volume. To apply a MEDIUM quality spray (BCPC), use typical hydraulic crop spraying equipment with nozzles operating at 2–3 bar pressure. Use of an adjuvant mixed in the tank is not required and is not recommended. Prepare the spray liquid immediately before use. Before preparing the spray liquid, accurately determine the required volume and amount of product. When filling the sprayer, follow the sprayer manufacturer’s instructions. Fill the tank halfway with clean water and start gentle agitation. Shake the product container before use. Add the required amount of product to the tank and wait until it is fully dispersed. Triple rinse empty containers with water using an integrated pressure rinsing device or manually, and pour rinsate into the sprayer tank with the spray liquid, top up with water to the required volume and mix thoroughly. Do not stop agitation until the mixture is used up. Spray immediately after mixing. Do not leave spray liquid in the spraying equipment.
Cuter Cropthetics herbicide - application tips:
