Description
Mikrochelat Fe-8 Intermag - the most effective source of iron for your plants
Mikrochelat Fe-8 is a fertiliser containing iron. The iron is fully chelated by EDTA (80 g Fe/kg (8%)). Iron (Fe) prepared in chelate form is absorbed, transported and assimilated by plants faster compared to iron supplied to plants in other forms. Additionally, it is stable and safe for plants in all application techniques.
What are the benefits of using Mikrochelat Fe-8 Intermag?
Iron (Fe) supplied in Mikrochelat Fe-8 fertiliser positively affects the quantity and quality of the yield, including:
- increases chlorophyll formation intensity and stress resistance,
- increases biomass and supports proper growth and development of plants,
- helps plants regenerate faster and achieve better quality parameters,
- improves overall plant condition,
- reduces the risk of excessive accumulation of nitrates and harmful nitrites in the yield.
Iron (Fe) supplied to plants in Mikrochelat Fe-8 fertiliser is:
- efficiently and rapidly taken up by plants from solutions in foliar feeding, in fertilisation combined with irrigation (fertigation) and from soil after soil fertilisation,
- safe for plants in all application techniques (if used according to recommended doses),
- stable in compound solutions (up to pH 7), used in foliar treatments, soil sprays and fertigation.
Mikrochelat Fe-8 Intermag can be used preventively and interventively:
Used preventively in crops with high iron requirements (e.g. beans, sugar beet, cabbages, broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, tomato, sweet pepper, strawberry, acid-loving plants grown on neutral or alkaline soils) it will be the most effective source of iron. It becomes essential when soil conditions limit iron availability to plants. Such conditions include high pH, lack of oxygen in the root zone, high iron content in plants.
Used interventively (at timings and doses recommended in fertilisation programmes for specific species) it effectively eliminates iron deficiency and reduces the negative effects of such temporary deficiency. Plants should be fed interventively if visual symptoms of iron deficiency appear or if plant tissue analysis shows too low iron content (hidden deficiencies).
Mikrochelat Fe-8 is intended for use in various fertilisation techniques:
- foliar feeding,
- fertigation (in inert, organic substrates, in soil),
- soil spraying/watering or top dressing after mixing with other soil fertilisers.
Mikrochelat Fe-8 can also be used as:
Mikrochelat Fe-8 can also be used as a component of dry and liquid fertiliser blends. We also recommend it as a source of iron for other chemicals.
Composition of Mikrochelat Fe-8 Intermag:
- Content of EDTA-chelated Iron (Fe): 80 g Fe/kg (8%).
Very good user properties of Mikrochelat Fe-8:
- fast and complete solubility (also in cold and hard water), all thanks to the unique ultragranule structure. The solution formed after dissolving ultragranules is sediment-free,
- no dusting,
- no caking - high resistance to external factors during storage.
Physicochemical properties of Mikrochelat Fe-8 Intermag chelate solutions:
- product is stable in pH range 1–7,
- high solubility in demineralised water – approx. 300 g/dm3,
- EC in demineralised water: 0.1% solution – 0.42 mS/cm,
- pH in demineralised water: 0.1% solution – 8.1.
How to use Mikrochelat Fe-8?
FOLIAR TREATMENTS (LEAF SPRAY):
- For foliar feeding, use Mikrochelat Fe-8 Intermag as an aqueous solution. The fertiliser can be used together with other products after performing a compatibility test.
Interventively – use Mikrochelat Fe-8 when visual symptoms of iron deficiency appear on plants or after diagnosing too low iron content in plants, as well as in case of root system flooding.
Treatments should be repeated every 3–5 days until deficiency symptoms disappear. Use Mikrochelat Fe-8 at doses:
- arable crops: 200–300 l/ha - dose: 0.8-1.5 kg/ha,
- pome and stone fruit trees, nuts, grapevine: 500–1000 l/ha - dose: 0.8-1.5 kg/ha,
- fruit bushes, strawberry, vegetables, ornamental plants: 400–1000 l/ha - dose: 0.3-1.5 kg/ha.
Preventively - use Mikrochelat Fe-8 at timings and doses presented in the "Dosage" tab.
FERTIGATION (fertilisation with irrigation) of crops in inert, organic substrates, in soil:
- Detailed recommendations (nutrient solution composition and application frequency) should consider plant nutritional requirements and agrotechnical and climatic conditions of the crop (including substrate type).
- Calculations must take into account iron (Fe) content in other fertilisers used to prepare the nutrient solution and in water used for preparation.
- Fertigation in inert substrates and coconut substrate as well as hydroponic crops (nutrient solution supplied continuously or multiple times per day).
- The most commonly recommended iron (Fe) content in ready-to-use nutrient solution is 1–3 mg Fe/l (i.e. 12.5–37.5 g Mikrochelat Fe-8 per 1000 l).
- When preparing concentrated solutions, the Mikrochelat Fe-8 dose should be proportionally increased.
- Fertigation in organic substrates and soil (nutrient solution supplied periodically - multiple times during the growing season). When using Mikrochelat Fe-8 with other fertilisers in ready-to-use nutrient solution, do not exceed total concentration of 0.2% of all components (i.e. 2 kg and/or l per 1000 l nutrient solution). Recommended amount of Mikrochelat Fe-8 during the growing season is 8–15 kg/ha, in split doses, max. 2 kg/ha per cycle.
SOIL SPRAY/WATERING or TOP DRESSING after mixing with other soil fertilisers:
- Spray the soil with solution before sowing or planting seedlings or use together with other soil fertilisers.
- For fruit trees (e.g. pear tree) perform soil spray after vegetation starts or at another recommended time. Perform soil spray (coarse droplets) on cloudy and humid days or during rain.
- Recommended amount of Mikrochelat Fe-8 during the growing season:
- 8–15 kg/ha - pome and stone fruit trees, nuts,
- 15–30 kg/ha - grapevine,
- 5–15 kg/ha - fruit bushes, strawberry, vegetables, ornamental plants.
Doses can be adjusted considering individual plant needs and growing conditions. Avoid using solutions with concentration exceeding 0.15% (1.5 kg fertiliser/1000 l water) at low air humidity. When applying foliar treatments in protected cultivation do not exceed 0.15% concentration.
