Redshine is a mid-early variety of the Rijnsburger type, combining high yield, excellent shelf life and beautiful appearance. Thanks to the possibility of storage until the end of May, it remains fresh and fully valuable for a long time.
Characteristic for Redshine is the intensely red, shiny skin, tightly adhering even after storage. The onions are perfectly round, uniform and healthy, most often in the 60–80 mm calibre.
The variety is distinguished by a strong root system and an upright leaf habit, which promotes healthy growth and stable yield. The thin, tightly closed neck additionally facilitates storage.
Redshine is a variety with a very high yield potential. It has medium resistance to downy mildew (IR). The best cultivation results are obtained at a density of 3.2–3.8 units/ha.
