Onion Yellow Sweet Spanish - characteristics

Onion Yellow Sweet Spanish is a Spanish-type variety, known for its high yield and quality. Its round bulbs have a diameter of 8–9 cm and weigh 300–400 g.

The flesh, white or creamy white in colour, is delicate and tasty, while the hard yellow-brown skin ensures excellent durability. Its unique, slightly sweet flavour makes this variety particularly appreciated on the market.

Why choose Yellow Sweet Spanish?

Yellow Sweet Spanish is characterised by an extremely high yield, reaching up to 100 tonnes per hectare. Thanks to a strong root system, it performs excellently in difficult conditions, such as dry summers. Yields of this variety can be up to twice as high as the best Rijnsburger-type varieties.

The onions can be stored for up to six months without loss of quality, and the hard skins make peeling easier, making it an excellent choice for both home use and the processing industry.
