Description
RADISH MELITO - CULTIVATION CHARACTERISTICS
Melito is a radish variety intended for open field cultivation throughout the entire growing season, both in spring and autumn application timings. It can also be grown under flat covers, which increases its versatility in large-scale production. The plants form uniform, round bulbs with a diameter of 35–45 mm, resistant to cracking. The skin is thin, and the interior is white, with no tendency to become woody, ensuring high commercial quality.
The foliage is short and firmly attached to the bulb, so the leaves do not detach even during mechanical processing. The variety is also characterised by resistance to downy mildew (IR).
