What is the pre-harvest interval and withholding period when using the fungicide Sarfun 025 FS?

The pre-harvest interval, i.e. the period from the last application of the product to the day of crop harvest, does not apply to Sarfun 025 FS.

Similarly, the withholding period (the period from application to the day when people can enter the treated area and animals can be introduced) does not apply to Sarfun 025 FS.

The period from the last application on plants to the day when succeeding crops can be sown or planted: not applicable.

What are the recommendations when using the spray liquid made with Sarfun 025 FS?

  • Treat only well-cleaned seed material.
  • Perform seed treatment preferably immediately before sowing.
  • Thoroughly and evenly coat the seed material with the treatment.
  • Do not treat grain and seeds with moisture content above 16% or previously treated with another seed treatment product.
  • Store treated seeds in thick, labelled, and tightly sealed bags, in separate, cool, dry, and well-ventilated rooms, away from food and feed.
  • Treated seeds may only be used for sowing; they must not be used for consumption or feed purposes.
  • The maximum sowing rate using seed treated with the product is 240 kg/ha for winter wheat and 200 kg/ha for spring wheat and spring barley.
  • If seed grain must be stored until the next season, germination capacity should be tested before sowing.
  • The product contains the active substance triticonazole – a triazole compound, from the group of sterol biosynthesis inhibitors – demethylation inhibitors (SBI-DMI) (according to FRAC group 3). Each pathogen population may contain forms resistant to some active substances, including fungicides from FRAC group 3. Gradual or complete loss of efficacy may occur with repeated use of fungicides with the same mode of action on the same field. As part of resistance management strategies, it is recommended to:
− use the product only according to label recommendations, including the recommended dose,
− on fields sown with seed treated with Sarfun 025 FS, foliar treatments (especially the first) should be performed using fungicides containing active substances from other chemical groups with different modes of action (rotational use).
