Vitacet is a natural product obtained from plant-derived ingredients. It is used in plant protection as a fungicide and bacteriocide. It also finds application in the food, cosmetic and chemical industries. In seed treatment, it provides protection for germinating seeds against pests and pathogens inhabiting their surface or pathogens in the soil. Proper seed preparation is crucial for plant development, which determines their emergence and yield. As a fungicide, it activates the self-defence mechanisms of crops and plays an important role in eliminating fungi and bacteria. Vitacet is used against fungi causing bunt, against symptoms of barley leaf stripe and other fungi and bacteria. Against bacterial diseases, Vitacet is used in the control of fire blight, bacterial leaf spot and diseases caused by root fungi. The product is also used as a disinfectant for garden tools used for pruning horse chestnut, maple, elm and many ornamental plants. It contains 10% plant-derived acetic acid. The product is available in concentrate form, from which an aqueous solution should be prepared. Vitacet can be used with other protective treatments. It is safe for humans and animals.
