Derek F1 – high yield of large onions
Derek F1 is a mid-late onion variety of the American type, valued for its exceptionally high yield and the ability to be stored until March. The plant is characterised by a strong root system and dynamic vigour, which guarantees reliable and stable growth.
The variety produces round, uniform onions with an impressive size of 70+ mm. Their strong, copper-yellow skin makes them well suited to mechanical harvesting while also looking very attractive.
Derek F1 is resistant to bolting, provided sowing is done after 10 April. Thanks to the high proportion of large onions, this variety is ideal for production intended for peeling.
Recommended density: 2.5–3.2 units/ha.
