Alar Growth Regulator
Alar is a growth regulator for plants designed to shorten internodes, known as a growth retardant. Benefits of using the product include achieving a more efficient plant habit and uniform growth and flowering.
Description
ACTION OF ALAR :
Alar is a growth regulator for plants intended for use in the cultivation of potted chrysanthemums and poinsettias. The agent's purpose is to shorten internodes, which allows for obtaining a favourable plant habit, as well as improving uniformity of growth and flowering.
Benefits of using Alar:
- shortening of internodes: improves plant habit and makes plants more compact, with thicker and stronger shoots, increasing their resistance to damage during transport,
- uniform and abundant flowering: reduces apical dominance and stimulates the formation of early lateral buds, which positively affects plant flowering,
- improvement of leaf and root condition,
- reduction of transplant shock, which promotes faster regeneration and adaptation to new conditions.
ALAR INGREDIENT CONTENT:
daminozide (compound from the hydrazide group) - 850 g/kg (85%)
ALAR SCOPE OF USE, TIMING AND DOSES:
The product is intended for use with a hand sprayer (including backpack sprayers).
How to use Alar:
Potted chrysanthemum
Maximum concentration for single application: 0.5% (i.e. 500 g of product in 100 l of water).
Recommended concentration for single application: 0.25-0.5% (i.e. 250 - 500 g of product in 100 l of water).
Application timing: apply to dry plants with full turgor. Perform the first treatment when lateral shoots are 5-10 cm long, approximately 2-3 weeks after pinching.
Recommended water volume: 10-15 l/100 m2 (i.e. 1000-1500 l/ha).
Maximum number of treatments per growing season: 2.
Interval between treatments: 14 – 17 days.
Poinsettia
Maximum concentration for single application: 0.4% (i.e. 400 g of product in 100 l of water)
Recommended concentration for single application: 0.3-0.4% (i.e. 300-400 g in 100 l of water)
Use higher concentration on vigorously growing varieties.
Application timing: perform the first treatment:
- single-stem plants - when shoots are 6-10 cm long.
- multi-stem plants /pinched/ - when shoots are 3-9 cm long after pinching.
Recommended volume: 10-15 l/100 m2 (i.e. 1000-1500 l/ha).
Maximum number of treatments per growing season: 2.
Interval between treatments: 21 days.
Spray plants so that the spray liquid completely covers the surface of leaves and shoots but does not run off the plants into the pots.
