BERMUDA CARROT - VARIETY CHARACTERISTICS:

purpose: fresh market, processing, storage

vegetation period: 104 days

The Bermuda F1 carrot is an early variety of Dutch origin, valued by both professional growers and amateur gardeners. It performs excellently in cultivation for the fresh market, processing and storage, making it one of the most versatile varieties on the market.

The roots of Bermuda F1 are cylindrical, very smooth and uniform, without a tendency to greening, which makes them look exceptionally attractive after harvest. Their high quality and intense colouring make this variety ideal for sale in bunches or as trimmed roots. The vegetation period of about 104 days allows for early yields while also enabling catch crop cultivation.

Bermuda F1 stands out with a high dry matter content (approx. 10.8%), which directly affects its excellent processing properties and storage durability. The strong and healthy tops facilitate harvesting, both manual and mechanical, which further increases its utility value in commercial production.

This variety is also characterised by high resistance to the most common carrot diseases, including alternaria leaf spot (Ad), Cercospora (Cc), root blackening (Ps) and powdery mildew (Pv). Thanks to this, Bermuda F1 cultivation is stable and reliable even in less favourable weather conditions.

Bermuda F1 carrot is an excellent choice for those seeking an early, high-yielding and resistant variety that combines beautiful root appearance with high commercial and processing value.
