CARROT NANTES - 5 - FANTAZJA - VARIETY FEATURES:
Carrot Fantazja is a valued, mid-early Nantes-type variety, created with vegetable producers and lovers of fresh, aromatic yields in mind. It is characterised by a medium growing period (about 112 days), which provides great flexibility in planning sowing and harvesting.
Sowing in April produces robust bunch roots, ideal for direct consumption. Meanwhile, sowing in the second half of May allows for excellent autumn yields suitable for long-term storage.
The roots of Fantazja carrot have a cylindrical shape, smooth skin and intense, even colour, making them exceptionally attractive on the fresh vegetable market. The plant forms a moderately lush top, facilitating harvesting and preparing the carrot for sale.
It is worth remembering that this variety requires more care in plant protection compared to modern hybrid varieties – but in return it offers a unique flavour, high nutritional value and natural frost resistance, making it well suited to Polish climatic conditions.
The roots of Fantazja carrot are rich in carotene, vitamins and mineral salts, making them an excellent element of a healthy, daily diet.
