Description
CARROT SPEEDO F1 - VARIETY CHARACTERISTICS
Speedo F1 is a new, early carrot variety with a growing period of 90–100 days. The plants form moderately vigorous tops, firmly attached to the crown, resistant to lodging and moderately resistant to alternaria leaf spot. The variety performs well on diverse sites – both organic and mineral soils.
Roots
The roots are smooth, cylindrical, dark orange, 20–22 cm long. They do not tend to green at the crown, which enhances their commercial quality.
Use
Speedo F1 is intended for combine harvesting and mechanical processing. Thanks to its high quality, flavour and durability, it is excellent for the fresh market, including bunch sales and immediate consumption.
