ACTION OF FLUENT 500 SC:

FLUENT 500 SC is a selective herbicide with soil and foliar action, used for control of weeds, especially grasses, in winter wheat. The product is a concentrated suspension for dilution with water (SC).

The key active substance is flufenacet, which belongs to the group of very long chain fatty acid biosynthesis inhibitors (VLCFA, HRAC group K3). Its mode of action is based on disrupting critical metabolic processes in germinating weeds.

Main features of action:

- Uptake: The active substance is absorbed primarily through the roots and hypocotyl of germinating weeds.

- Long-lasting Activity: Flufenacet remains active in the soil for several weeks after application, providing effective weed control also in later growth stages.

- Effectiveness: The best herbicidal effect is achieved by applying the product at the early developmental stages of weeds (germination or seedling stage). Optimal soil moisture favours the soil action of the product.

How to use FLUENT 500 SC:

Winter wheat

Maximum / recommended dose for single application: 0.4 l/ha

Application timing: Apply the product in autumn, before emergence (BBCH 00-08) or after wheat emergence, from the tillering stage to the six-leaf stage (BBCH 10-16), targeting weeds in early developmental stages, i.e. during germination or shortly after emergence – at the seedling stage.

Recommended water volume: 200 – 400 l/ha

Recommended spraying: medium droplet size.

Maximum number of treatments per growing season: 1
