Description

Fluent 500 SC Sharda - herbicide

  • Effectively controls monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds.
  • Dedicated action - for use in winter wheat cultivation.
  • In a convenient and efficient form of a water-dilutable suspension concentrate.

Fluent 500 SC is a herbicide in the form of a water-dilutable suspension concentrate (SC). For soil or foliar application to control monocotyledonous and dicotyledonous weeds in winter wheat cultivation.

The product is intended for use with self-propelled or tractor-mounted field sprayers.

Fluent 500 SC - mode of action:

The active substance - flufenacet is mainly absorbed through the roots and hypocotyl of germinating weeds. Flufenacet remains active in the soil for several weeks after application, maintaining high herbicidal efficacy also at later stages.

Optimal soil moisture favours the product's action. The greatest herbicidal effect is achieved by applying the product at the early developmental stages of weeds, i.e. during germination or shortly after emergence, at the seedling stage.

Fluent 500 SC Sharda herbicide - active substance content:

  • Flufenacet (a compound from the oxyacetamide group) - 500 g/l (42.09%).

The active substance flufenacet belongs to the group of very long chain fatty acid biosynthesis inhibitors – VCLFA, HRAC group K3.

Fluent 500 SC Sharda - controlled weeds, pre-emergence treatment:

Sensitive weeds:

  • Brome grass.

Moderately sensitive weeds:

  • Common chickweed.

Moderately resistant weeds:

  • Cleavers.

Fluent 500 SC Sharda - controlled weeds, post-emergence treatment:

Moderately sensitive weeds:

  • Brome grass,
  • Field violet.

Moderately resistant weeds:

  • Volunteer oilseed rape.

Fluent Sharda herbicide - crop uses:

Agricultural crops:

  • Winter wheat.

Fluent herbicide - pre-harvest interval and re-entry period:

Pre-harvest interval - the period from the last application of the product to the day of crop harvest:

  • Not applicable.

Re-entry period - the period from application until people and animals can enter the treated area:

  • Do not enter until the spray liquid on the plant surfaces has completely dried.

Fluent Sharda herbicide - succeeding crops:

The product does not pose a risk to succeeding crops. It is recommended to perform ploughing to a depth of 25 cm and thoroughly mix the soil before sowing or planting succeeding crops. In case of the need to destroy a treated crop earlier due to frost, pests or diseases damage, at least 12 weeks must pass from spring ploughing to sowing of wheat, barley, beet, oilseed rape, pea, broad bean, carrot, onion, cabbage vegetables or planting potato. Temporary phytotoxic symptoms such as cotyledon discoloration may appear on succeeding crops like cabbage vegetables, but these are transient and do not affect further crop growth.

Fluent herbicide - preparation of spray liquid:

Before preparing the spray liquid, accurately determine the required amount. Shake the container well before use. Pour the measured amount of product into the sprayer tank partially filled with water (with the agitator on) and then fill up with water to the required volume. If the sprayer tank is not equipped with a hydraulic agitator, mechanically mix the liquid in the tank after adding the product. Rinse empty containers three times with water and pour the rinsate into the sprayer tank with the spray liquid. In case of interruptions during spraying, thoroughly mix the spray liquid in the tank before resuming work.

Fluent 500 SC Sharda plant protection product - usage instructions:

  • Do not use the product:
    - in cereals with legume undersowing,
    - on plants weakened or damaged by diseases, pests, frost or drought.
  • During application, avoid:
    - spray drift onto adjacent crops,
    - overlapping spray liquid on treatment strip edges and headlands.
  • Do not perform cultivation treatments such as harrowing after application.
  • Consult the authorisation holder or their representative before use regarding possible effects on grain processing.
  • Effectiveness may be reduced on soils with high organic matter content.
  • The product may cause phytotoxic symptoms which are transient and should not affect yield. Therefore, consult the authorisation holder or their representative regarding variety tolerance before use.
  • The product contains the active substance flufenacet (very long chain fatty acid biosynthesis inhibitors – VCLFA, HRAC group K3). Repeated use of herbicides with the same mode of action may increase the risk of resistant weed biotypes. To prevent resistance, it is recommended to use the product once per season at the recommended dose, and alternate or combine with herbicides from different chemical groups with different modes of action in subsequent treatments and seasons. Chemical treatments are only one part of weed control alongside cultivation and crop rotation.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Store the plant protection product:
    - in original packaging,
    - in a way preventing contact with food, drinks or feed, environmental contamination and access by unauthorised persons,
    - at 0°C - 30°C.
