Monex 1 WP is a growth regulator for plants available as a powder for preparing a water suspension (WP). The product is intended for thinning fruit sets in apple tree crops and preventing pre-harvest fruit drop.

Active substance- 1-naphthaleneacetic acid (a compound from the arylcarboxylic acid group) – 10 g/kg (1 %)

Monex pre-harvest interval

• from the end of flowering phase to the phase when the fruit reaches up to 20 mm in size (BBCH 69-72) - not applicable
• from the phase when fruits reach up to 10 mm after flowering to the phase when fruits are mature for harvest (BBCH 71-87), preferably about 14 days before the expected harvest - 7 days

General notes:

• the treatment does not affect the fruit ripening process
• perform the treatment on dry trees when no rain is expected in the next few hours, preferably in the afternoon on warm days
• during the treatment, fruit stalks and depressions around the stalks should be clearly wetted
• adhere to preparing the correct concentration of spray liquid (0.15% – 0.15 kg of product in 100 l of water) to avoid fruit cracking or russeting
• some apple tree varieties (e.g. Golden, Red Golden Delicious, Royal Gala) may be sensitive to the product; it is recommended to perform a control test 10–14 days before application to check for any adverse symptoms, e.g. on the fruits
