Description
A new hybrid variety in the earliest onion segment, combining the traits of Takmark and Takstar, characterised by improved skin quality and yield potential. The skin of this variety is tightly adhering and light in colour. Typical for the earliest Japanese varieties are its blue-green leaves with an upright habit and thin neck, which translates into better leaf health, bulb thickening density, and favours greater effectiveness of pesticide treatments. This variety shows high tolerance to early spring frosts and minimises the risk of bolting. Thanks to early sowing in the second decade of March, early harvest of onions with high quality and health is possible. Type: Japanese Maturity: earliest Purpose: fresh market, industry Production: from seedlings or direct sowing Sowing rate: 750,000 - 1,000,000 seeds per hectare Grading: 50-80 mm
