Description

Optysil (silicon) - anti-stress agent activating plants' natural immune systems and stimulating their growth and development

Optysil is a liquid silicon immunity stimulator that strengthens plant cell walls and stimulates a range of vital processes in the plant. Recommended for preventive use (before stress conditions occur) in the cultivation of all agricultural and horticultural plant species.

The unique duoSIL formula is the source of Optysil's effectiveness:

The use of the duoSIL formula (active and bioavailable form of silicon) ensures:

  • high content of silicon forms available to plants,
  • exceptional stability thanks to the uniqueness of the formula,
  • very good solubility and compatibility with agrochemicals due to neutral pH.

What are the benefits of using the Optysil stimulator?

  • increased plant tolerance to adverse growing conditions (drought and cold days) – leaves strengthened by silicon deposition in cell walls show reduced transpiration, enabling plants to better withstand periodic water shortages and low temperatures,
  • reduced susceptibility of plants to pathogenic pathogen penetration – strengthened cell walls act as a barrier limiting pathogen spread and penetration,
  • reduced susceptibility of plants to mechanical damage – silicon-strengthened cell walls are less prone to damage during hailstorms, strong winds, or pest feeding,
  • limitation of biotic stress effects caused by pathogenic pathogens and/or pest attacks,
  • better quality yield – flexible and silicon-strengthened skins are less prone to cracking and mechanical damage caused by pests and sunburn. Fruits better withstand transport and storage and are more durable in trade,
  • improved root system development – better phosphorus uptake in the presence of silicon stimulates root system development while limiting uptake of toxic heavy metals.

Optysil - stimulator composition:

  • Silicon calculated as SiO2: 200 g/l, 16.5% (w/w).

How to use the Optysil stimulator by Intermag?

FOLIAR TREATMENTS (SPRAYING):

Primarily, Optysil Intermag is intended for foliar application. Using Optysil (spray) involves foliar application in the form of an aqueous solution. Optysil can be used together with other products (foliar fertilisers and plant protection products), but only after conducting a compatibility test confirming mixing possibility.

FERTIGATION:

You can also use the product for fertigation. We recommend using a solution at 50–270 ml of stimulator per 1000 l of nutrient solution. Apply this mixture in a separate fertigation cycle or together with fertilisers, but only after prior checking mixing compatibility. For soil crops, apply Optysil every 3-5 fertigation cycles; for soilless crops, apply Optysil to mats several times during the growing season. For strawberry crops, use up to 120 ml of product per 1000 l of nutrient solution.

WATERING:

You can also use the product for watering. We recommend a 0.1% solution. You achieve this concentration by mixing 100 ml of product in 100 l of water. Apply Optysil watering 3–6 times during the growing season.

Optysil stimulator doses can be modified considering individual plant needs and growing conditions.
