Primus B is a seed-applied fertiliser (more precisely a fertiliser used in seed treatment) intended for application on seeds during their preparation.
It is primarily a modified and enriched mineral suspension containing nutrients. When applied to seeds during their preparation, it enables the plant easy access to nutrients. Mineral nutrients become more available to the plant's root system, especially during germination and early plant growth.
Additionally, Primus B is characterised by very favourable performance parameters. Specifically, the composition of this product has been enriched with a seed-applied biostimulant complex that supports the growth of seedlings and roots. This has a positive effect on plant drought resistance.
Moreover, seeds are less dusty when poured into the seeder and after treatment have a more intense colour.
The suspension is more stable.
In summary, the Primus B+ suspension fertiliser is used for seed treatment.
A key part of the seed preparation process is the use of seed treatments to protect plants against soil or seed-borne pathogens and pests that attack plants. Companies producing and preparing seeds (or farmers themselves) additionally use the Primus B+ seed fertiliser to enhance treated seeds.
The germination process of seeds in the soil depends on water availability and the current temperature. During germination, plants use nutrients and energy stored in the seed reserves. As a result of enzymatic processes and transformations of additional substances, the embryonic root emerges from the seed. At this point, the plant begins to form the root system, while the shoot (coleoptile) elongates and breaks through the soil to its surface.
For proper development during plant emergence, plants must receive nutrients in an assimilable form in the immediate vicinity of their young roots. For this reason, it is recommended to use "starter doses" of macronutrients and micronutrients in the form of seed fertiliser. An excellent solution is the Primus B+ fertiliser, which supplies germinating seeds with essential nutrients. Moreover, it stimulates the emergence of new plants and ensures their early development at an appropriate level. It allows plants to root quickly and well.
What is the composition of the Primus B+ starter fertiliser?
- Total nitrogen (N) - 19.5 g/l,
- Ammonium nitrogen (NH4) - 2.2 g/l,
- Amide nitrogen (NH2) - 17.3 g/l,
- Phosphorus pentoxide (P2O5) - 13 g/l,
- Potassium oxide (K2O) - 13 g/l,
- Magnesium oxide (MgO) - 23.4 g/l,
- Sulphur trioxide - 26 g/l,
- Boron (B) - 2.6 g/l,
- Copper (Cu) - 2.6 g/l,
- Iron (Fe) - 11.7 g/l,
- Manganese (Mn) - 3.9 g/l,
- Molybdenum (Mo) - 0.78 g/l,
- Zinc (Zn) - 5.2 g/l,
- Titanium (Ti) - 1.95.
How can the enriched suspension fertiliser Primus B+ be used?
The fertiliser can be used for seed treatment.
In which crops can the Primus B+ seed-applied fertiliser be used?
The Primus B+ seed preparation fertiliser can be used in the cultivation of:
- wheat,
- barley,
- triticale,
- rye,
- oats,
- maize,
- beet,
- oilseed rape,
- cabbage seeds,
- small-seeded leguminous plants,
- large-seeded leguminous plants,
- seed potatoes.
Before use, thoroughly mix the Primus B+ suspension fertiliser to homogenise the suspension throughout the packaging. The fertiliser should be used as an aqueous suspension. It can be used together with a seed treatment product (after testing to confirm the possibility of preparing a homogeneous suspension of the combined products). Apply the fertiliser dosage according to the usage instructions indicated on the label.
Note: For proper seed preparation, it is very important to evenly coat the entire seed surface with the solution (homogeneous suspension).
