Description
Sprouts - Red Cabbage
Cabbage sprouts are an excellent source of vitamins A and C as well as B, E, H, K, PP. They also contain large amounts of calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, sulphur and many micronutrients such as iodine, manganese, lithium and selenium. Thanks to their high antioxidant content, they strengthen the immune, nervous, and skeletal systems, teeth and lymphatic glands. Like broccoli sprouts, they contain sulforaphane – an anti-cancer substance that protects our body against tumours – its concentration in cabbage sprouts is much higher than in the cabbage itself. Cabbage sprouts are ready to eat when they reach about 2.5 - 3 cm in length. Their taste resembles fresh cabbage head.
