Sonata is a late variety of root parsley, distinguished by exceptional crop stability, especially under challenging weather conditions. Its unique feature is increased drought resistance, which is crucial during the critical emergence phase, ensuring uniform plant stands. This variety produces conical, sharply pointed roots reaching 23-24 cm in length. The skin is white and smooth, showing high resistance to rust, which significantly enhances the commercial value of the yield.
The flesh of Sonata parsley is firm and creamy-white, characterised by an intense aroma and excellent texture. This variety performs best in sunny locations, on fertile, deeply cultivated and loosened soils that retain moisture well. Due to its strong vigour, thinning is recommended if emergence is too dense to allow roots to reach optimal size. The recommended spacing is rows 30-40 cm apart, with 3-4 cm between plants within the row.
